“Destruction of the amenity of our world-class scenic drive.”

Lorne escarpment“How far can we expect this vandalism to go, the entire length of the Great Ocean Road?”

“The treatment of the cliff faces will not endear visitors to this region and you cannot expect to see that classic image of the s-bend at Big Hill ever used again by Great Ocean Road authorities or in sport car advertisements. That’s gone for decades to come.”

This is just awful! How can they justify this? Was there any community consultation? Just plain environmental vandalism! What’s going to stop erosion and rock falls now. I’ve lost complete faith in our decision-makers.
